Blair Atholl Visit

21/07/2012 to 21/07/2012

Blair Atholl Jamborette Visitors Day

The Blair Atholl Jamborette takes place every two years when hundreds of scouts from around the world join up with their Scottish counterparts for what many claim is their best moments in scouting. The opportunity has arisen for those not lucky enough to participate in this event to attend their visitor’s day and to sample what it is all about on Saturday the 21st of July.
On the day visitors can have a look around the site, try out various activities, try foods from various countries, meet scouts from other countries and much more. There is also a shop where visitors can buy Blair Atholl and scouting souveniers. After tea in the evening we will run some fun activities before attending a large camp fire on the site.
Dundee District is running a bus to this event which will be leaving from outside Dundee High School at noon and returning at around 11pm approx. The cost will be £10 which includes coach travel, entry to the event/tokens to allow people to try out food and event, tea and refreshments. Participants should wear a uniform; bring suitable clothing for the weather and a packed lunch if they want for dinner.
There are limited places for this event and they will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Please do not ask for places until you know you need them. Any places asked for but not taken will still need to be paid for.
It would be preferable if leaders or adults could attend with younger members and in particular the cubs but if leaders are not available please still offer your members the opportunity to go and I will try and sort something out.
Places can be ordered as can more information be obtained from Stuart Ramsay on 01382 520092/0779125390 or stuart@dundeescouts.org.uk by Saturday the 23rd of June.
