Dundee District Scout Council



Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart.

It's exciting being involved with us. We believe that through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives. 

Dundee District Scouts are currently looking for adult volunteers for a number of specific roles.  If you would like to join the adventure then please get in touch.

Current Vacancies 

Assistant District Commissioner (Gang Show)
We are looking for applications from anyone who is interested in applying for the role of ADC Gang Show. If you are interested then please apply via email to dc@dundeescouts.org.uk.
Given that preparations for next years show has to start soon we will be looking to make an appointment by the end of this month so applications have to be in this week.

District Secretary
Are you organised and looking for a job behind the scenes. This could be for you. You will be required to attend District Executive meetings which meets every 2 months, record minutes, prepare agendas, other small admin tasks. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity. Committee members
Have a passion or expertise in an area such as funding, recruiting, PR, or just have ideas?
Have you the ability to contribute and see a project through?
This is a behind the scenes role with your main contact being the District Executive. District Executive only meets every 2 months, ideal if you have a busy life but want to support scouting behind the scenes and help get projects underway and planning for the future.  If you are interested then please get in touch.

Group Scout Leader
The Group Scout Leader is a key role which has responsibility for ensuring that adult leaders are fully supported in their work to provide a balanced and exciting programme to local young people.
We’re looking for someone with management skills or who wishes to enhance their management skills for 2 of our groups in Dundee. The 20th Group meets in Coldside/Hilltown Area and the 25th Group meets in Broughty Ferry. Information for the roles can be found by clicking on the group name.
